PDS Technologies (Pty) Ltd were the first manufacturers in South Africa to design and manufacture unique moving coil regulators, also know as "Colouring transformers."

These regulators provided a near perfect sine wave output, smoothly adjustable in the range from 0 - 5000 A at 22V (maximum), without any glitches, hiccups or notches.

By having a common magnetic core with flux paths outside of core, all possible harmonics were virtually completely eliminated, thus ensuring the ideal sine wave output!

Three Regulators were designed and manufactured for a locally based company and have been in the field for almost a decade, these regulators have now been moved to a USA company to increase production flow and guarantee the USA market a quality end product

We analyse these needs in order to supply equipment that will fit the requirements of our customers projects from beginning to end.                                                                                                                                     
We do this by carefully studying the existing power supply and infrastructure provided from the power/service provider.                                                                                 
                                                                                                                                                                                                                              In many cases (Zambia for example), we were able to establish that the power supply from the national service provider was not reliable, and that directly affected industries.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           
In light of these issues, we advised on corrective action to be implemented prior to the purchase of other equipment that works in conjunction with each other to make up a multi-million dollar production line.

Over and above this, long term equipment was manufactured which would ensure cost effective and
reliable for the mine to stay productive for 365 days of the year with no downtime.
This equipment included additional surge protection, harmonic filter reactors and portable mini substations.
